Description

The new Unitron PrisMET upright metallurgical microscope is designed for demanding materials science and metallurgical applications. It is ideal to examine metals, alloys, coatings, engineered surfaces, wafers, and more. The microscope comes with brightfield / darkfiled illumination, with the ability to upgrade to DIC. The microscope comes standard with a trinocular viewing head allowing you to add a camera at anytime. The 10x eyepieces provide a 22mm field of view. The reflected light illuminator allows for brightfield, darkfield, oblique illumination and wth additional parts you can observe in polarized light as well as DIC. The quintupile coded nosepiece allows comes standard with Infinity semi-APO 5x, 10x, 20x, and 50x objectives. If higher magnification is required a 100x objective can be added. The XY mechanical stage has a galss insert and has a 74mm X and a 50mm Y travel range. The abbe condenser for transmitted light has an N.A. of 0.65. The microscope has a front LCD display which displays the objective that is in polace as well as the light intensity and color temperature. A 3-watt variabe S-LED illuminator powers both the transmitted, and reflected light illuminators.
