Description
The PZ-2000 FT (Flat-Top) Stage is a high-precision automated microscope stage made by Applied Scientific Instrumentation (ASI). It is designed to provide a high-resolution and highly repeatable means of controlling the X/Y/Z position of a microscope stage, and is compatible with a wide range of microscope brands and models, including Leica, Nikon, Evident/Olympus and Zeiss. The MS-2000 controller provides joystick control and facilitates communication via USB or RS-232 serial, and supports TTL synchronization. ASI products are supported by software from most scope manufacturers, as well as Micro-Manager, Nebula, VisiView, Inscoper, Slidebook, MetaMorph, and more (SDK available).
In addition to X/Y motorization, the PZ-2000 also features a piezo Z-axis positioner. Piezo systems offer better accuracy, faster movement, and improved stability compared to traditional Z microscope drives. The fast response of piezo Z enables rapid Z-stacks for 3D volumetric imaging and improved data for any imaging where quantification is critical.
