Description

The CoolLED pE-100 series is a family of single-wavelength fluorescence LED illumination systems, which are compact and simple to use.  Systems can be specified at any one of 20 different LED wavelengths, and are ideal for routine clinical screening, electrophysiology or basic research applications. Operation is by a remote manual control pod with instant on/off and irradiance control from 0-100%, with remote control available via a TTL trigger.

Single-wavelength options follow designation/ SKU "244-87-XXX-..." where XXX indicates the excitation wavelength in nm -- options available include: 365, 380, 400, 425, 440, 470, 490, 500, 525, 535, 550, 565, 585, 595, 615, 635, 660, 700, 740, 770. Further, you can choose direct fit or liquid light guide options:

  • Direct-fit: The pE-100 is designed to connect directly to a microscope’s epi-illumination port by selecting from a range of microscope adaptors.  A simple once only adjustment will allow optimization to the optical path of the microscope (watch the tutorial video here).
  • Liquid Light Guide: The pE-100light guide connects to the microscope via a fixed 3 mm diameter, 1.5 m long liquid light guide.

Light guide configurations include the light source, control pod, power supply, light guide, adaptor for your particular microscope and US power cable. Direct fit options include the light source, control pod, power supply and a standard adaptor for your microscope.

Don't see the option you need? Type "244-87" into the SEARCH bar and select the excitation wavelength desired. From there, you can select the mount type for your microscope.

BE ADVISED: There are a few pE-100 configuration options available, as either direct fit or with liquid light guide, depending on your microscope and preference. The direct fit variant delivers higher irradiance and reduces the cost to buy and run thanks to fewer consumables -- however, this option is not available for all makes/ models. We strongly encourage you to contact us before purchasing so we can provide the correct configuration.
