Description
The Leica S9i gemological microscope package is the ultimate sales, training, or appraising microscope system. It is built around Leica's new S9 series microscopes which incorporate a patent called "Fusion Optics". This optical design provides higher resolution than any microscope on the market. It also provides a larger field of view, meaning you see more of an area while looking though the microscope. Fusion Optics also give a greater depth of field, this means less refocusing or moving of your sample as more is in focus at once! The microscope itself offers a zoom range of 9.76 - 88x with the included 16x eyepieces. The gemological stand offers an illuminated darkfield bowl with iris, overhead fluorescence illuminator, and pinpoint LED light. The stand tilts and rotates 325 degrees.
The Leica S9i has an integrated 10.0 M.P. camera. The microscope provides a simultaneous output to both eyepieces and camera. The camera has multiple output methods - HDMI or USB. You can use the camera with a traditional USB output to a computer. The HDMI output method allows for a live image output to a monitor where you can view your sample and capture images / videos.
