For many applications a microscope right out of the box will suffice. The standard binocular with 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x oil objectives or a stereo zoom on an LED stand cover a wide range of needs. However, for more advanced and specific applications some customization may be required. For example, pathologists often choose custom objectives, preferring a 2x, 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x set-up. Depending on their individual working style and time spent with the scope, they may also select an ergonomic tilting viewing head. Industrial customers, on the other hand, often add an auxiliary objective for increased working distance allowing them to solder or work under the microscope, change the stand, or add a camera with a heads-up digital display.
Microscope Central can configure a microscope with ideal components for your specific application. While the addition of components can increase the cost, this is not always the case with every customization. Swapping components can result in a cost neutral customization, and sometimes there are actually cost savings when components are removed. A customization can be as little as recommending a specific camera to meet a requirement, or as much as fully building up a microscope system. Because Microscope Central offers a wide selection of products from various manufacturers, we can mix and match to come up with the best solution for our customers.
While we offer pre-configured packages on our website to meet the needs of various applications, customization offers endless possibilities. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
