The uScope MXII-60 slide scanner is an affordable, portable microscope slide scanner/ whole slide imager. The uScope MXII-60 slide scanner uses a 60x objective to scan your 1 x 3" microscope slide while the uSCOPE MXII-20 uses a 20x objective, and the uSCOPE MXII-40 uses a 40x objective.

The uScopeMXII-60 digital microscope comes with a 60x/0.85NA 160mm conjugate objective. This model is suited to applications where very high resolution and edge definition are required. The uScopeMXII-60 has a narrower depth of field than lower power models of the uScopeMXII. So, tissue samples and smears must be flatter or thinner to avoid lengthy autofocus and longer scan times. This unit is able to produce very high-quality images while browsing or scanning an area of interest.

Because of its size, the uScopeMXII is highly portable. The industry-standard USB interface makes it easy to plug in and start capturing images at work or on the road. It easily interfaces with standard desktop or laptop PCs and allows you to view and capture slide images in a wide variety of environments.

Features:

  • Overview and Objective Cameras
The uScopeMXII has an overview camera (for selecting regions of interest) and features a high-powered objective camera for scanning.
  • Automatic Focus
Images are automatically focused for high-quality captures.
  • Tiling or Stitching
You can easily zoom and navigate region scans which can be automatically tiled or stitched.
  • Portable Microscope Platform
At a weight of under 4 lbs., the uScopeMXII is highly portable and can easily be moved from your office to the lab.
  • Integrated Image Processing
Image processing profiles allow you to apply common filters to the uScopeMXII slide images. Preset and user-defined profiles are supported.
  • Economical Design
Finally, a digital slide microscope that everyone can afford.

User Control Application for uScope Digital Microscopes

The uScope Navigator application is a graphical user interface application you use to control the uScope Digital Microscope.

uScope Navigator enables you to...

    Browse Your Slide

    Browse Your Slide

Simply insert a slide and the uScope Navigator application displays an overview image where you can select the point of interest to view.
You can navigate using buttons on the user interface or keys on the keyboard.
uScope Navigator gives you complete control over position, illumination, focus, and image filter settings.

    Scan a Region of Interest

    Scan a Region of Interest

The uScope Navigator application lets you create jobs to scan regions of interest. Once you select the region of interest and initial focus, the Navigator application starts scanning your slide with the uScope Digital Microscope.
Each field is saved to disk as it is captured, and can be used by third-party image processing software. Images are stored in standard, non-proprietary image formats.
After scanning is complete, you can optionally create deep zoom image sets which can be viewed with any contemporary web browser.

    View Your Images

    View Your Images

The uScope Navigator application offers two different ways to view your scans. You may view the individual fields tiled into a mosaic (the Tiled Image Viewer) or you may view them as a large, deep zoom image (the Deep Zoom Viewer) that uScope Navigator creates for you.
The Tiled Image Viewer is best for viewing the individual fields and their relationship to each other.
The Deep Zoom Viewer is best for viewing a large, contiguous image without the boundaries of the individual fields.

    Image Processing Filters

    Image Processing Filters

uScope Navigator enables you to apply image processing filters to the overview image, to the scanned fields in a region of interest, or to Deep Zoom Image Sets.
A variety of the most commonly used filters (brightness, contrast, sharpen) are available and may be applied in the sequences of your choice.

    Manage Your Jobs

    Manage Jobs

The Manage Jobs and View Jobs dialogs help you perform day-to-day operations on the jobs you create within the uScope Navigator application. Typical job operations include:
    • View Jobs,
    • Copy Jobs,
    • Move and Rename Jobs,
    • Delete Jobs,
    • Archive and Import Jobs
