Description
The BD stand is a Pole type stand with an F focusing slide block and an adjustable rotatable mirror in base for “pseudo darkfield illumination”. The BD stand is still an excellent tool for both biological and medical investigations. It can be an effective tool used at high magnifications to view living bacteria, or at low magnifications to view tissues, cells or embryo transfer. Marine biologists continue to use darkfield transmitted illumination at low powers to observe and record data about fresh and salt water organisms such as algea as well as striae in transparent material and plankton in aqueous solution. Equipped with two stage clips and a rear Illumination port. The BD stand requires an optional external light source: MA264/LED (LED light source) or MA264H (Halogen light source) or FL150/115 with FL150/12 and FL150/50 focusing lens fiber optic halogen light source system.

Focusing Holder: F Focus Block with 84.2 diameter opening accepts 84mm stereo body. Rack and pinion mount allows smooth precise focusing over 55mm of travel. Coarse focus mechanism incorporates a slip clutch and tension adjustment
Illumination Port: Rear illumination port 25mm I.D., 30mm O.D.
